Desktop Provisioning
Create and manage pools of virtual desktops, which can be static or dynamic in size, in just minutes with a few simple clicks. IT administrators can define pools, create custom policies for usage and allocate pools to user groups. All of the pool creation and provisioning is done without requiring any knowledge or experience in dealing with the underlying infrastructure.The picture below shows how easy pool creation is; simply pick a desktop model, type, gold pattern and desktop group, then review and provision.
Desktop Management
Included in the Champion Desktop Cloud service is a simple easy to use web-based management interface, the Enterprise Center, which enables image management. The Enterprise Center allows full pattern lifecycle management, from pattern creation to active management to retirement. The Enterprise Center allows customers to upload gold patterns with a single click.
Leverage Existing Best Practices
Desktops in the Champion Desktop Cloud look and act as part of your corporate IT environment, though they are running at a secure remote data center. This is because the desktops are connected to your corporate IT environment through a private network connection, most often a site-to-site VPN. Access to the desktops is based upon your existing corporate Active Directory, and the application running inside the virtual desktop, which is at your discretion to determine.
Easy Access
To minimize the cost and labor associated with virtual desktop infrastructures, the Champion Desktop Cloud includes a self-service, policy-based portal that enterprise users can access from any browser. With the portal, users can create, activate and manage their virtual desktops without relying on a system or desktop administrator.
Any Device Including Mobile
The Champion Desktop Cloud allows users to leverage nearly any device to access the cloud. This includes a DaaS Mobile Client for access from an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. End users can also leverage thin clients, with a smaller carbon footprint and near stateless characteristics, to access their desktops.
