You can't afford not to have Software Assurance - Reason # 3 By Erika Tracy, Director of Software Sales, Champion Solutions Group |

Are you planning on implementing SQL or adding new SQL to your existing database environment? Microsoft’s SQL 2012 is scheduled to be released in the March/April time frame. The new editions are better geared towards the business needs of the customer, however the new pricing structure has also been revised from a per processor to a per core model, in addition to the existing server model.
To avoid the additional price increase for new 2012 SQL licenses, you may want to consider purchasing SQL 2008 with Software Assurance now. By having the SA, you are automatically eligible to upgrade to the new 2012 at no additional charge.
Just something to think about.
